Endowment Mortgage Shortfall
The amount calculated by the endowment provider that the endowment policy is likely to fall short, at maturity, when attempting to repay the original mortgage amount. An endowment policy is an investment and if the policy does not achieve the required level of investment performance it will mature for a sum less than the outstanding mortgage amount.
