Europe 'offers new investment opportunities'

Investors may want to consider the opportunities provided by other European countries, according to one expert.
Jonathan Polin, director of Resolution Asset Management, claimed that Europe has "so many advantages over the UK".
It currently has more "high-yielding" companies, while also offering investors "diversified exposure" to a number of currencies and economies, Mr Polin stated.
Now is therefore the "time for investors to look across the channel for some or all of their income requirements", he added.
The company's Argonaut European equity income fund, which is providing a yield of 4.7 per cent, is "living proof" that such investment vehicles do work, he said.
For those looking to invest money closer to home, Fidelity International's Aruna Karunathilake has identified a number of companies she believes are insulated against inflation.
The expert said National Grid, Royal Dutch Shell, K&S and PZ Cussons as potential investments during difficult economic conditions.
