Motorists going abroad warned over car insurance

Any motorists venturing overseas have been advised to check their car insurance cover before they set off on their travels.
Some car insurance policies have limits on the number of days drivers can use their vehicles abroad, according to NFU Mutual.
In addition, it reminded motorists to check their cars are in a good condition before they head away.
NFU Mutual spokesperson Laura Wood commented: "Driving on unfamiliar foreign roads can be a tricky business but it is important that you also check whether you are covered in the event of an accident or theft."
The firm issued a series of recommendations for drivers to assess the maintenance of their cars, which included checks that engine fluids are topped up, windscreens are free of damage and tyres are in good working order.
Last week, a survey from Admiral suggested more than one in three adults say they have been distracted by their children while driving.
Almost three-quarters of adults cited the boredom of their children as being the most difficult aspect of travelling with them.
