Sainsbury's offers home insurance discounts

People looking to renew their home insurance may be interested to learn that Sainsbury's Bank is offering customers a 25 per cent discount.
New customers are eligible for the discount if they purchase both buildings and contents cover before October 6th.
Neil Laird, home insurance manager at the company, said people can make significant savings by shopping around for the best deal on home insurance.
"Home insurance policies vary dramatically so it's essential people compare policies not only on price but also on the level of cover they provide," Mr Laird stated.
Even though the cost of premiums has been rising, shopping around and finding discounts such as this can ensure people make savings, he added.
Rhiannon Harris, a spokesperson for Endsleigh, recently urged people to inform their home insurance provider if they plan to carry out any large DIY projects to ensure they are adequately covered.
